St. Patrick’s Day Parade Paráid Lá Fhéile Padraig
Plans are well advanced for the 2nd Moycullen St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday 17th March. The parade will commence at Sweeney’s Service Station, (Clifden side of village) at 2pm and finish at An Fuarán Car Park. We aim to have an even bigger and better turnout than our very successful first parade last year. Beidh ceol agus craic ar feadh an trathnóna. We urge businesses, community groups and organisations to join us in the parade. Parade applications forms are now available at Dooley’s, The Forge, Tony’s Café and the Community Office or from committee members. Bígí linn. McCann’s SuperValu has kindly agreed to be the main sponsor again this year. There is no charge to enter a float/group but a small donation would be appreciated to defray costs. Nuala Ní Chonghaile a dhéanann mír rialta ar chúrsaí garraíodóireachta ar Raidió na Gaeltachta i dTeach na Gaeilge (Arus Uilinn) maidin Dé Sathairn, 15 Nollaig, ón 11.00rn – 12.30in. Tabharfaidh sí taispeántas ar cén chaoi bláthfhleasc na Nollag agus maisiúchán boird a dhéanamh! Costas 4 euro agus fáilte roimh chách! Nuala Ní Chonghaile, who does a regular gardening slot on Raidió na Gaeltachta, will give a demonstration on how to make a Christmas wreath and table decoration in Teach na Gaeilge on Saturday, 15th December from 11.00 – 12.30pm. Progressive 25 Card Drive – Scoil Naisuinta Tuairini
– Scoil Naistuinta Tuairini run a Progressive 25 Card night every Thursday at 8.30pm in the school excluding Christmas and Summer holidays. Good prize money and refreshments are offered. Christmas Hampers and lots more goodies to play for on 22 December!!
THE GATHERING IRELAND LOCAL COMMUNITY FUND
The key objective of the Fund is to provide support to local and community Gathering event organisers and activities / projects which will drive international visitors to each county / city in the Republic of Ireland. The Fund is being administered by your local city / county council. Applications must be received in your county / city offices by November 30th 2012 at 4pm
Christmas Hamper Raffle (Raffle na Nollag)
Maigh Cuilinn St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee is organising a Christmas Hamper Raffle to raise much needed funds for Páraid 2013. A Hamper value €300 and many other prizes to be won. Cost is €3 per line or two lines for €5. Lines may be purchased from local pubs/shops/Community Office and from Committee members.
