Cemetery Mapping
An Cumann Staire will begin mapping of an Sean relig, The Farm (the old cemetery) on Saturday 12 November 2016. Old Graves expert, John Tierney who is travelling all the way from Waterford will provide training to the volunteers. Scoil Bhaile Nua 2016 Fun Cycle
Galway Wind Park Team Gareth Bradshaw (Siemens) and John O’Sullivan, GWP Development Project Manager (pictured left) lead out on the Scoil Bhaile Nua 2016 Fun Cycle. The annual 40km Fun Cycle took place recently with this year’s addition of a family fun 5km cycle, which saw participants, ranging from ages 4 to 74, cycle the two routes. Also pictured on the right are Joe Loughnane and Gerry Nihill who completed the 40km. The annual cycle is a fundraiser to support and supplement the school’s academic programme. In an outreach initiative with the wider Maigh Cuilinn community, a proportion of the annual Fun Cycle proceeds is given to local charity Crinniú to help with their work.
