St. Patrick’s Day Parade Paráid Lá Fhéile Padraig
Plans are well advanced for the 2nd Moycullen St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday 17th March. The parade will commence at Sweeney’s Service Station, (Clifden side of village) at 2pm and finish at An Fuarán Car Park. We aim to have an even bigger and better turnout than our very successful first parade last year. Beidh ceol agus craic ar feadh an trathnóna. We urge businesses, community groups and organisations to join us in the parade. Parade applications forms are now available at Dooley’s, The Forge, Tony’s Café and the Community Office or from committee members. Bígí linn. McCann’s SuperValu has kindly agreed to be the main sponsor again this year. There is no charge to enter a float/group but a small donation would be appreciated to defray costs. New Footpath at Uilinn, Church Rd.
Forbairt Phobail Maigh Cuilinn (Moycullen Community Development Association) is organising and co-ordinating the installing of the much awaited footpath at Uilinn, Church Rd. This work is been done in conjunction with Galway Co Co and the Local Community Employment scheme.
